Lisbon – 10 August 2023 – Foundever™, a global leader in the customer experience (CX) industry, has received the Great Place to Work® Certification in Portugal, which recognises companies that promote a better work environment and organisational culture. This certification award considers the opinion of employees who, through the Emprising™ platform, respond to the survey confidentially and anonymously.

Benedita Miranda, General Manager – multilingual region at Foundever , said that receiving the Great Place to Work® Certification “was a moment of great pride. Portugal is the third country, after Brazil and India, to receive this important recognition at Foundever globally! It is the recognition of our culture and the work we have been doing regarding employee experience in favor of people, their wellbeing and professional development. The Great Place to Work® Certification recognises employers who create an “excellent” employee experience. Great Place to Work is a consulting firm that has worked with companies worldwide for more than 30 years to identify, create and sustain high-trust, high-performance cultures, helping organisations become the best places to work.

Bruno Gouvea, Human Resources Director at Foundever in Portugal, says that “the achievement of this certification is the result of teamwork that began with the purpose of transforming the employee experience into something unforgettable and lasting. It all started with implementing an Employee Experience area, which aims to put the employee at the centre with its actions and processes. This team started with conceptual actions and corporate projects, and soon the need arose to implement them. With this, the integration of the Business Partners position – professionals in the operations that bridge the HR department – became vital to make the magic happen.”

Bruno Gouvea mentions some strategies used to “put the employee at the centre.” The process began by refining communication channels, through focus groups, roundtables and surveys, and then prioritising according to the feedback received. “To act in an organised way, we established 3 pillars of action, Development, Social & Engagement. Actions such as the Corporate University (UP) made us prioritise internal promotions, valuing our talents,” he says.

The company has also implemented a diversity, equity & inclusion (DE&I) programme which, according to Bruno Gouvea, has awakened in employees “a pride in helping local communities.” The Human Resources Director adds other actions implemented, “such as the monthly EverBetter events (focused on physical and mental wellbeing), Peak Awards (focused on talent recognition) and recently the Football Championship. Receiving this certification makes us believe that we are on the right track and motivates us more and more to treat the employee journey as unique and special.”
