Foundever® strengthens sustainability commitment with SBTi validation of near-term targets
Dear valued supplier, we are pleased to present our 2024 ESG Report, showcasing our progress towards sustainability goals, particularly our commitment to achieving net zero by 2050. Foundever has also reached an important milestone with the official validation and approval of our near-term net-zero targets by the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). This validation safeguards the integrity of our targets and ensures they meet rigorous evaluation criteria. Read our recent press release regarding our targets.
Specifically, we aim for the following near-term goals:
- Reduction of scope 1 and scope 2 GHG emissions: Reduction of absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 54.6% by 2033 from a 2023 base year.
- Scope 3 emissions: Reduction of scope 3 GHG emissions by 61.1% per million EUR value added within the same timeframe.
- Net-zero commitment: Achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. This involves balancing the amount of greenhouse gases emitted with an equivalent amount removed from the atmosphere, ensuring no net increase in atmospheric greenhouse gas levels.
The need is to reduce carbon emissions, conserve natural resources and work with our stakeholders on meeting our near-term goals. Achieving net zero means balancing the amount of greenhouse gases emitted with the amount removed from the atmosphere.
