Foundever® at Web Summit 2024: 5 key takeaways

Foundever® hosted several buzzworthy events at Web Summit 2024 in Lisbon to connect with other CX professionals and dive deep into how AI is reshaping customer interactions.

On November 12-14th, thousands gathered in Lisbon, Portugal, at Web Summit to talk all things customer experience, technology, AI and the future of the contact center. The event was three days of energetic back-to-back events, including expert-led masterclasses, networking, interactive learning, job boards and much more.

As global leaders in the CX industry, Foundever was honored and eager to host several noteworthy events, including a highly in-demand masterclass led by Rebecca Jonsson, VP of AI Products & Design at Foundever!

So, how did it go, you ask? Let’s dig in and get the insights. Here are five key takeaways from this year’s event.

1. The Web Summit event had over 71,000 attendees and 953 speakers

This year’s Web Summit was a huge success, garnering 71,528 total attendees, 953 speakers and 3,050 companies from around the globe. That’s a lot of tech talk!

2. Foundever hosted a 1:1 networking event and talked “Foundry” with attendees

A 2×2 booth at Web Summit became the go-to spot for meaningful 1:1 networking over coffee. It was designed to also promote the Foundever “Foundry,” where people had access to a personalized magazine about the summit. Over the three days, the team connected with hundreds of attendees, making it a hub for meaningful conversations and collaborations.

3. The Foundever masterclass event focused on AI-powered CX

Rebecca Jonsson, VP of AI Products & Design at Foundever, led an exclusive masterclass titled “AI-Powered CX: Customer Interaction in the Digital Era” where she explored the impact of AI tools in the near future, showcased our tools and case studies, and discussed trend predictions through 2035.

Rebecca dug deep by exploring specific AI case studies that have been successfully deployed by clients around the world. Attendees gained practical knowledge on how AI can be integrated to improve operational efficiency while maintaining the human touch that’s crucial for building customer trust and loyalty. This masterclass was in the top three most popular masterclasses at Web Summit, with 1,250 people interested in joining and 84 attendees (in a 60-person planned room).

Foundever co-hosted “A Deep Dive into Digital CX” with our friends at Sprinklr, and it was the perfect opportunity for Web Summit attendees to meet other CX professionals, do some networking, learn about the latest tools in the industry and of course enjoy a drink with friends (old and new)!  

This event was held in Lisbon’s Oceanarium, walking distance from Web Summit, where Foundever had three demo stations for Voicebot and AI Coach, and the opportunity to have more in-depth discussions with guests.

The event had 102 attendees in total with guests from TikTok, Philips, Spotify, L’Oréal and more.

5. Foundever hosted a micro-retreat for women called Togeth(her)

At Foundever, we’re big on promoting women in CX. This is why we co-hosted Togeth(her), a micro-retreat for women, which took place in the Santos hub in partnership with Women in CX and Female Founders Rise.

It was an intimate event (30 seats only) to promote the debate between women in leadership roles and to work on real challenges with a “challenge map” workshop. Key insights from the workshop included:

  • Sponsorship and opportunities
  • Women supporting women
  • Emotional wellbeing and work-life balance
  • Assertiveness and personal branding
